Blood & Oil is a documentary podcast investigating the human and environmental cost of the oil industry along America’s Gulf Coast. I created the podcast’s visual identity, anchoring the design around a commissioned illustration that contrasts a southern plantation house with an encroaching industrial skyline. To reinforce the show’s themes of violence, legacy, and environmental degradation, I paired the artwork with a bold, blood-dripped title treatment that’s instantly legible at thumbnail scale. Designed with mobile visibility in mind, the final key art captures the podcast’s emotional weight while ensuring standout performance across listening platforms.
